  • HEAD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and organised Head of Computer Science to join our school to lead in the development and delivery of Computing curriculum from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. As a relatively new school we pride ourselves on our streamlined, innovative approach to ICT with all students having access to their own devices. Regular CPD specifically on new software and applications to enhance learning and systems designed to reduce paperwork and administration. We are a Google school and this is an area that we want to push, as our students and staff are keen to learn more. The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the GCSE and A Level curriculum which is bespoke, challenging and fit for the student entering an ever changing digitally enhanced world.

    We are looking for an inspirational leader who embraces creativity, innovation and is always looking for the very best practice in both their teaching and those whom they lead. They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels and will help to provide extra curricular opportunities that allow pupils to enhance both their digital literacy, as well as their computational thinking skills.

  • TEACHER OF MEDIA STUDIES

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous Media Studies teacher to join our dedicated faculty in helping the School on its journey to becoming an established and outstanding community School. The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to shape a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum which is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st century life.  They will be able to contribute to discussions around required equipment to resource the department and have a significant say in the course design and syllabus choices.

    This position would be suitable for a talented trainee teacher or ECT.

  • GOVERNANCE PROFESSIONAL

    The Role

    We are seeking an organised and highly motivated individual to join our school community as a Governance Professional. This crucial role provides administrative support to the Board, ensuring smooth and effective governance within the school. The successful candidate will play an essential part in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of meetings, as well as providing guidance on legal and procedural matters to the Board of Governors.

    The Governance Professional will work with the Chair of Governors, the Head Teacher and other governors to ensure the smooth and effective running of the business of the Board of Governors, including:

    • Providing advice on governance, legal, constitutional and procedural matters
    • Proactively supporting the governing body and its committees in the conduct of their duties (e.g., organising meetings and producing / circulating / storing necessary documentation) 
    • Managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
    • Ensuring the governing body is properly constituted 
    • Keep up to date in terms of current legislation and practice via training to enable the above

    Salary

  • TEACHER OF DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our dedicated Design Technology team as we continue on our exciting journey with our new Sixth Form provision.


    The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to work with a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum that is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st Century life.


    We are excited to offer this role with the option of part time hours for the right candidate. If you have a specialism in Food Science and Textiles this could be an ideal opportunity for you, however we also welcome candidates with experience in all areas of Design and Technology.


    As a department, we are offering four Key Stage 5 courses: 

    • Product Design A-Level AQA 
    • Design Engineering A-Level OCR 
    • Fashion and Textiles A-Level AQA 
    • Food Science and Nutrition WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma


    There has been significant investment in the new Sixth form; the Design Technology Department now has brand new metalwork and electronics facilities, as well as a new textiles classroom to support the growth of the department and complement the existing suite of Design and Technology facilities.


    We are looking for an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of leading students to achieve outstanding results, who embraces creativity, innovation and is always looking for the very best practice in teaching.
