Inspiring a love of learning

Opening in September 2015 to our first year 7 students, Hoe Valley School will be a new 11 – 18 mainstream secondary school to serve the local children of south Woking.

Our prospectus is now available: Hoe Valley School Prospectus

Our first open evening for potential students and their parents was very busy and we have one more planned – on Thursday October 16th.  Find out more by clicking here.  We plan to hold more meetings in the new year and are also happy to come to meet smaller groups of parents by request.

Hoe Valley School is being founded by local parents, teachers and school leadership experts and will provide our children with an education to equip them for the 21st century by focusing on 4 key needs:Hoe VAlley Free School

  1. We want our children to be creative, independent thinkers
  2. We will provide our children with great skills as well as academic credentials
  3. We believe that children perform best in a small school with a caring atmosphere
  4. It will be a school that values and enhances the local community

Our students will leave us as well-rounded, independent, confident, considerate young people.  They will receive a fantastic education and will enjoy their time at Hoe Valley School.  They will take responsibility for themselves and others and be encouraged to discover and cultivate their true skills and talents within a nurturing and supportive environment.

Timeline

Hoe Valley School was approved by the DfE on the 19th of June for opening in September 2015. We are now in pre-opening and will be working closely with contacts in the DfE and the Education Funding Agency to project manage the school opening. This will entail recruiting a Headteacher, securing the site, preparing the prospectus and starting to recruit pupils.

Hoe Valley School will be inviting applications from September 2014 for a Year 7 intake in September 2015.  The school will then grow year on year with our first Year 11 in 2019 and our first students starting A levels in 2020.
