Hoe Valley School

Penny Alford

I am delighted to lead Hoe Valley School (HVS) in its journey to becoming an outstanding and oversubscribed school serving the local community.  Our team is committed to providing exciting, personalised and challenging learning opportunities and to ensuring we know and nurture all of our students’ talents and interests.  Learning will be explicitly linked to the wider world to ensure the first graduates of HVS have the skills and knowledge to take up a meaningful role in society.

Hoe Valley School is a co-educational, mainstream secondary school.  The school is due to open in September 2015 with 120 Year 7 places and will grow to include a sixth form.  We will open with four forms of entry.

Day to day life at Hoe Valley School will feel no different to other high quality academies.  We are following the national curriculum, employing qualified teachers and funded by central government as they are.

I very much look forward to working alongside the parents, young people and local residents as the school grows to become an integral part of the South Woking community.
